We advise travellers to stay as close as possible to the city centre. Details of our 'pick up' point will be provided at the time of booking.

Depending on the amount of time you have to spend in Dublin you may wish to take in a hop on hop off city bus tour, take a leisurely stroll down O'Connell Street, visit the Guinness Brewery or Trinity College Library or have a meal at many of the restaurants & bars in the area.

Highlights: Belvedere House, Uisneach, Clonmacnoise

We leave Dublin at 9am approx & head to Belvedere House. Built in 1740 as a hunting lodge is architecturally significant because of its Diocletian windows and dramatic nineteenth-century terracing.

Next we move onto Uisneach mythological sacred centre of Ireland. Steeped in ancient history the site is believed to be the final resting place of the goddess Eriu after which the country was named.

Next it's onto Clonmacnoise founded by St Ciaran in the mid 6th Century it was a great centre of learning over the years. Many manuscripts, including the 11th Century Annals of Tighernach and the 12th Century Book of the Dun Cow, were written here.

Dunguaire Castle was used in the 1969 Walt Disney movie Guns in the Heather, featuring Kurt Russell, in which the castle was featured as Boyne Castle. It was also the Scottish castle home of the main character in the 1979 film North Sea Hijack.

Then we will make our way to Corcomroe Abbey, an early 13th Century Cistercian Monastery in the Burren which is said to hold some of the finest stone carvings to be found anywhere in Europe.

From there its onto Irelands Iconic and most visited site the Cliffs of Moher located on the west coast of clare is a truly magnificent place. Rising almost 400ft above the Atlantic Ocean the views are breathtaking so ensure that your camera batteries are fully charged!

Highlights: Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Grange Stone Circle, Adare Village

Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored to its former medieval splendour in 1954, and now contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art, capturing the mood of those times. At Bunratty Folk Park you’ll experience a living reconstruction of the homes and environment of the Ireland of over a century ago. Set on 26 acres, the impressive park features over 30 buildings in a ‘living village’ and rural setting.

Composed of 113 standing stones, the Grange Stone Circle is the largest in Ireland. It was built c. 2,200 B.C. after the arrival of the Bronze Age People in Lough Gur. It is a sacred ritual site and also served as an astronomical calendar.

As we begin our journey toward the Kingdom of Kerry we will stop off at Adare village. Take time to wander the streets of this pretty village before we continue onto Tralee.

Accomodation: Benners Hotel, Tralee or similar subject to availability.

Highlights:Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head, Beehive Huts, Muckross House Killarney National Park

This morning is all about the scenery & that must mean we have arrived in the Kingdom. We will take a leisurely drive around slea head, visit the beehive huts & maybe a quick stop off in Dingle before continuing south to Killarney.

Keep the camera batteries well charged as we make our way to Muckross House. A nineteenth century Victorian mansion is set against the stunning beauty of Killarney National Park. The house stands close to the shores of Muckross Lake, one of Killarney's three lakes, famed world wide for their splendour and beauty.

Accomodation: O Donnabhains, Kenmare or similar subject to availability.

Highlights:Bantry House & Garden, Mizen Head, Drombeg Stone Circle

This morning we will be making our way to Ireland's most south westerly point but before that we will stop off at Bantry House & Gardens.Bantry House is the ancestral home of the Earls of Bantry which is situated overlooking Bantry Bay in West Cork. The House has an important collection of art treasures mainly collected by the 2nd Earl of Bantry on his Grand Tour. The garden was inspired by travels of the 2nd Earl. It is laid out in the Italian style over seven terraces, with the house sitting on the third terrace.

Next we arrive at Ireland's most south westerly point. Noted for its dramatic cliff scenery Mizen Head lies close to one of the main transatlantic shipping routes and was, for many seafarers, the first (or last) sight of Europe.

From there we will make our way to Drombeg stone circle. Drombeg is probably one of Irelands most famous stone circles, a recumbent circle with the recumbent or altar stone lying to the south-west. Also present at the site is a Fulacht fiadh a communal cooking pit with a hearth & the site suggests that it was active c. 1100 - 800 BC

Accomodation:O'Donovans Hotel, Clonakilty or similar subject to availability.

Highlights: Blarney Castle & Woolen Mills, Rock of Cashel

If you have been holding out on making those souvenir purchases then perhaps today might be the day to splash out as we visit Blarney Castle & Woolen Mills. In the morning we will make our way to the castle where guests will get the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone & receive the gift of the gab. Afterwards we will visit the Blarney Woolen Mills store to do some gift shopping.

With the gift of the gab secured we will make our way to our final stop on this tour, the magnificent Rock of Cashel. Also known as Cashel of the Kings or St Patricks Rock, The Rock of Cashel was the traditional seat of the kings of Munster for several hundred years prior to the Norman invasion

Finally it’s back to lively Dublin and perhaps your last night in Ireland. Savour the moments of the tour over dinner at any of Dublin's fine restaurants and talk about your next adventures in the Emerald Isle.

Group Size

The maximum number of passengers per tour is 8 persons.

Our tours run throughout the year & on demand. While we welcome group bookings we can offer reduced rates for groups where a tour coincides with dates for that of another group. For example, if you are booking as a couple(2) and you wish to go on our South Ireland Tour (7 Days), if there is no other group going on those dates at the time of booking then the price for the tour will be as advertised. But should there be another group requesting similar dates then we can offer the option of a reduced price for the tour to you at that point. So if there is another 4 people requesting the same date we would refund you the difference between the price based on 6 people and that of 2 people. We believe that this would be the fairest option for all. And remember there will never be any more than 8 people on the tour ensuring a more personalised experience.
